Crackle - Crackle, Inc.

Finally, you can now watch free movies on your iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. Sony Pictures Entertainment through one of its division, Crackle.com has just released a groundbreaking app for the iOS devices, i.e. Crackle. The app allows you watch hundreds of movies in full-length, including big titles such as Da Vinci Code, Ghostbusters, Spider-Man 3, Charlie's Angels, Fifth Element, Karate Kid 1, 21, A Few Good Men, Final Fantasy VII, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Kungfu Hustle, and one of my favorite movies of all time, Snatch.

Not only you get to watch those great movies, but you can also watch thousands of full-length episodes of popular TV series, including Seinfeld, Married with Children, Starsky and Hutch, Charlie's Angels, and the great anime series of Samurai X. These movies and TV series are selected from Columbia Pictures, Tri-Star, Screen Gems, Sony Pictures Classics and more. I hope they are bringing more movies on a regular basis, because this is just awesome.

The app allows you to watch them in full screen mode too. And watching full screen movies on an iPad is just awesome.

Crackle has made it easier for you to find the movies to watch, by adding search and filter features. There's also up to 36 featured playlists which have been created for you so that you can find the movies you want to watch easily. These playlists include Scary Good (for best horror movies which are funny and scary at the same time), Macho Madness (for the toughest of the tough), Deadly Games (when winning means life or death) and many more.

Also, if you registered yourself as a Crackle user (which you can do it for free), you can have access to the great queue feature. With this feature, you no longer need to remember all the movies that you want to watch but haven't got the time to do so. You just add them to the queue and forget about them. Later on when you have some time to watch, you can start watching them. And, the best part of it all, the app allows you to resume from the minute where you left off. Now, that's perfect.

I really think you should get the app immediately. It's free to download but may not available in all countries. And I'll leave you guys with some screenshots from how it'll look like from an iPhone. Enjoy the movies and share what your favorite movie/show on Crackle in the comments below.

  3. Sure, that would be awesome. I had to look up the app but it seems like a very worthwhile app, especially since I just upgraded to an iPad 2. If the offer is still open you can send it on over to lchupacabras@gmail.com, thanks a lot!
